Those silicone shields are TERRIBLE! They are extremely difficult to get on and to stay on as you bring it around the pie. Then, when the pie is in the oven, they slip off. They get hotter than you-know-what and I have burned my fingers trying to get them back on the crust. I threw mine in the trash with great pleasure to get rid of them. Don't waste your money!
