Basic contact information
King Arthur Baking collects information that you voluntarily provide when you interact with our website, create an account, register for a baking class, participate in a survey or promotional giveaway, sign up for our emails, subscribe to SMS/text alerts, or request a catalog by mail. Examples include your username, password, customer number, rewards member number, the products added to your wishlist, or the recipes saved to your recipe box. King Arthur Baking does not store 'plain text' passwords for online accounts.

Purchase and Payment Information: When you make a purchase or receive a credit, you will need to provide the information required to process and ship your orders or respond to your customer service requests. This may include your credit card number, card type, expiration date, or secure PayPal account information, as well as your billing address and shipping address. King Arthur Baking does not store, archive, or otherwise retain credit card numbers.
Applicant information
When you submit an application for employment or provide information to a recruiting service, we collect your “basic contact information” as described above from your inquiry, along with any education and/or professional information included in other application materials such as a cover letter. Activity & device information
When you use the King Arthur Baking website we collect information on the actions you take such as search history, products you browse and/or place into your shopping cart, along with certain device, browser, and location information (such as IP address), from how you accessed it. When you use our live chat tool or call our Baker’s Hotline, we collect information such as the date and time of the call, your device/browser version, IP address, and a record of the conversation. Public information (the content you share)
All content and information (personal or otherwise) that you add to the Website or social media platforms associated with King Arthur Baking, including but not limited to photos and comments on our blog, recipe and product ratings and reviews, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. will be considered public information for the purposes of this policy. King Arthur Baking offers its customers the ability to receive mobile alerts regarding sales and promotions, recipes, products, and shopping cart reminders by SMS message. To subscribe to receive marketing or promotional text JOIN to 27820. You do not have to opt-in to text messages to make purchases from King Arthur Baking. If you opt-in, we may send you marketing text messages and alerts using an autodialer, automated SMS or autodialed technologies, and standard messaging and data rates will apply. Message frequency may vary. You can always opt out of text messages by replying STOP to 27820. You will then receive a confirmation text that you have been unsubscribed from marketing texts. Right to Non-Discrimination:

Only you or a person that you authorize to act on your behalf may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. However, you may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.
Our verification process works as follows. Before we may process a request, in order to protect your privacy, we will ask you to confirm a few pieces of information that we have on our records about you, for example:

- Your customer number or recent order number
- Your email address
If your request is for deletion of personal information, we will need to re-verify you before we delete your information.
You may make a verifiable consumer request up to two times within a 12-month period, without charge. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm that the personal information relates to you. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.
We try to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of its receipt. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extend the time period (up to 90 days). If you have an account with us, we will deliver our response to that account. If you do not have an account with us, we will deliver our response by mail or electronically, at your option. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding receipt of your request. The response we provide will also explain any reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable.

Under California law, certain aspects of our loyalty and similar programs (e.g., our “Baker’s Rewards” program), which provide benefits to consumers, may be considered a financial incentive program. We collect personal information from you in connection with our loyalty program, e.g. contact information (name, email address, residential address) and commercial information (like purchase history) for a number of reasons, including to administer the program, contact you with regard to your account (if any), to provide the benefits to you, to better serve you, and to fulfill your requests associated with the program.
