My 30 year old KA died at the end of August. My husband was able to fix it, but I don't know for how long, so I'm asking for an Ank for Christmas (asking the whole family to chip in lol). I'm primarily a cookie/cake/pie/etc baker. Haven't dipped my toes into bread yet. I'm hoping the Ank will serve my baking needs - thoughts? I love the idea of the motor/head not covering the bowl, making it easier to add ingredients - always found that to be a major pain with the KA mixer. I also use the mixer for massive batches of mashed potatoes, will I be able to do that in the Ank as well?
