I've had an Ankarsrum mixer for almost two years. I haven't missed my KA mixer at all. The Ank does a great job for bread and everything else I have used it for. I believe my bread actually has a better texture than it did when kneaded in the KA; maybe since the Ank is more gentle? It makes wonderful challah and brioche. It handles large batches and tiny batches of bread very well. Quieter than the KA as well.
