Hi Penandra, the next paragraph includes the answer to your question; adding Instant ClearJel directly to cookie dough won't cause any issues, because clumping only occurs when mixing with something that is fairly liquid in consistency. So, in this scenario there is no need to mix the Instant ClearJel with flour first.
