My 21 year old grand daughter recently ordered a sourdough starter from KA. My first thought was that I couldn't believe she was actually going to try this. I have baked bread all of my life, but never really got into sourdough, because my husband doesn't care for it. She had a few bumps along the way, but kept at it. She finally decided to bake that first loaf, and she also made some bagels. She sent me pic's and I was totally blown away. that loaf belonged at the finest bakery in the country. The bagels were just beautiful. The slashing outstanding.

I learned a lot while on the Baking Circle, so tried to help her on this journey. I referred her to KA bakers hotline and she used this resource also. I am sure that loaf has been consumed, but it could have been used in baking shows or a glossy cover of a baking magazine.
