Hi Susan. What a fantastic pan! We actually have a great blog that goes over this very process step by step. I'll link to it right below: How to shape scones (it's the second description right below how to shape drop scones). As for preparing the pan, we would recommend lightly greasing it before you place that batter in. That will help prevent any sticking. Please do reach out if any further questions come up!
