I played with sourdough back in the 80s. I started again about 2010. I do enjoy making bread and my wife and I are hooked on Sunday morning sourdough pancakes slathered in real butter and covered with real maple syrup and maybe a few sliced strawberries on top. Anytime you play with sourdough close your eyes and picture Conestoga wagons crossing the Great Plains or the Gold Rush miners digging up in Alaska. Sourdough was all they had.
