Guests were coming -it was a surprise- they would be arriving in an hour. I decided to make your wonderful chocolate chip cookies. I didn’t read the instructions before I started- just gathered all the ingredients. I mixed the ingredients just the way I would have done my old chocolate chip cookies. 🍪 They looked beautiful- by all accounts, including the plumber, his assistant, my hubby and the mail carrier and afternoon guests- the cookies got rave reviews. Hubby said they were the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever made. “Don’t change a thing he said.” Having a wheat allergy I was/am unable to eat them - but the smell was divine!!
Next time I make them- I will follow the recipe as written. I plan on trying them using the Gluten Free bread flour and add Xanthan gum. I will let you know how it goes. If my cobbled together use of the recipe’s ingredients had cookies sooo good they didn’t last the day- the correct way of putting them together/ I had best put a padlock on the cookie jar.
