Among the "not recommended as routine but it was fun at the time": I was making a drive to visit family and was asked to make a loaf of bread for dinner. I ended up using the passenger seat heater to keep the dough warm on the drive. I did have to stop to form the bread and place it in a cast iron Dutch oven for the final rise.
ALSO: I have heated bricks by a fire and placed them and the dough under a blanket. This works a bit better than setting the dough near the fire.
As noted in the blog, there's no limit on what you can come up with if needed.
