Right now it is 24 deg. F. outside. While our home is generally 67 - 70 inside, I tuck the sourdough up high (heat rises) atop the refrigerator is one spot, on the mantel above our propane fireplace is the other spot for it or rising dough. Note, if your hot water heater is indoors inside a closet with a shelf above it that works wonderfully.
