Hi Penny! It sounds like you likely used too much flour. We recommend baking with a scale to ensure accuracy, especially with flour (which can be easy to overmeasure). But even if you decide to bake by volume, it's still important to measure flour the right way, with our recommended fluff-and-scoop method.
