I only use my Zojirushi bread machines for bread doughs. Sometimes I bake in the machine, sometimes I bake in the oven. Yesterday, I mixed and baked a mini cardamom rose pound cake in my smaller machine. First try. It was pretty good! You just have to use a good pound cake recipe, and not the one in the manufacturer’s manual (too much flour!), mix for only a few minutes so the ingredients are combined, and set a custom bake cycle.
I have the Maestro and the Virtuoso Plus, and I prefer the Virtuoso Plus. It’s so satisfying to use because it’s so powerful, and the rising time is more consistent. (maestro custom rise isn’t as warm as V+, so it seems to take forever if I’m doing a custom rise cycle)
