During Covid, my neighbor and I baked 600-800 cookies a week for the Hospital Medicine Team and others at Lahey Hospital in Burlington MA . Their cafeteria was closed and the team were working 15-18 hour days trying to save lives. My daughter was a Nurse Practitioner. She would daily bring in the cookies we baked. Upon arrival, she would email the teams to describe the variety for the day and she would place them in a central area. We did this for two years.

Sometimes there was a shortage of ingredients and I would use the Nextdoor app to barter for ingredients.

We felt like we made a small difference during this crisis .
