About 6 years ago I bought a Breville Smart Oven because I needed a toaster oven. Also, didn't want to heat up the house during hot weather extremes just to bake up a few things. Then came the Covid lockdown which made home baking and cooking a necessity; I love to bake and cook anyway so not much of a shift in routine. My favorite grocer's KAF supplies frequently ran low, until . . . oh no, no, no, my regular oven decided to give up the ghost! It took 2 years to get my new beautiful ovens, but in that time the little Breville came to the rescue. It has a special place in my kitchen and heart because it allowed me to keep baking away those 2 years, discovering new ways to use it, and fulfilling a psychological need for normality and stability. Kye, I know how you feel about the "little Breville that could" and DID. Thank you, Kye, for sharing your story.
