Hi Rose-Ellen, because Greek yogurt (even whole milk Greek yogurt) is much lower in fat than heavy cream it won't whip up the same way, and also won't provide the same moistness and tenderness in this cake. I wouldn't recommend this substitution. If you'd like to make a cake that incorporates Greek yogurt, you might like our Orange and Greek Yogurt Cake recipe.
