Hi Patti, sorry for causing confusion! "Pyramid" might not be the best word to describe the triangle shape that you will be creating with your thumb and index finger all around the edge of the pie plate. The idea is to settle the dough on the rim as securely as possible before twisting and crimping the dough in the design you prefer.
