I’ve made it three times in a row following a slightly different recipe (flour and milk until pudding) then cream the butter, sugar and vanilla. Once pudding is cool, combine. I'm not sure the finished consistency is right. It’s a little grainy. I’ve tried powdered sugar, and I’ve tried granulated sugar pulsed in the blender. Does the flour taste raw? Or are you cooking it longer so it smells cooked? I first tried my stand mixer, then a hand-held for more control. I’m just not getting a whipped cream texture.
