Hi Susan, our Lock-Top Flour Container is made of soft but durable BPA-free plastic that doesn't crack easily and is quite sturdy, so we're surprised you experienced this issue. Perhaps you purchased a similar container that was made of a more rigid material? Occasionally it can be tricky to slide the bag in (due to the indentations for gripping), but we've found laying the container on its side and sliding the bag in that way works well.
