I have spent the last few weeks researching electric griddles. The many reviews I've read are mixed when it comes to heat control and the included metal spatula. For heat control, some have complained the surface temp getting up to 500 degrees when set to 350. Also, when one user complained to the manufacturer that the surface was flaking off, they stated you should only use non-metallic utensils.
