Wonderful article - so interesting. I grew up in North Carolina and my mother made biscuits almost daily. She started baking biscuits at the age of 9 in 1938 for her rural farming family, parents and 10 siblings. These days, my husband is the biscuit maker. This article brought back many memories, and I learned a lot about the different types and history of biscuits. Thank you, Ms. Freeman, and King Arthur.
