OK! I cannot wait to try a couple of these recipes. But my question is “Why buttermilk or Greek yogurt?”
I don’t like these two ingredients by themselves, so I never have them on hand. If I’m not interested in their tang in the final product, is there any other reason for using them?
I understand buttermilk’s role as a leavening, but since Greek yogurt can be substituted, I’m not sure buttermilk is being used for leavening in this recipe.
