I took the carboard paper towel tube trick a bit further this year.
I wanted small, round slice and bake cookies, so I formed the log and used plastic wrap.
I put the dough log inside the tube. With the dough being soft, it was easy to push it down and roll the tube so it fully formed a log inside the tube.
Slipped it out to slice them and they turned out perfectly round.
