Generally with pastries that have perishable frosting or filling like a cream cheese icing, it is recommended that you don't leave it out for more than 4 to 6 hours before refrigerating Beverly! Personally, I like the texture of room temperature frosting better than cold frosting so I usually pull my cakes out about 1 to 2 hours before serving.
