Hi Pamela, I think this method would work well for any fairly firm yeast or sourdough bread recipe, but I'm not sure about a soda bread. However, I have seen at least one recipe out there for a soda bread that uses this method, so it might be possible. I think the results will be prettier with a regular dough though.
