Perhaps just because I grew up in a poorer economic class, I never use baking sheets/parchment paper. I just lightly grease the given pan with shortening. You should look at Great Depression era (1930-40) cookbooks--none use parchment paper at all and all grease pans with fats.
I am not of course disparaging people who use the item, and recognize the lower fat content and other baking uses where parchment paper is preferred, but again it is a resource that cooks of another generation never bothered with.
