I have two food processors. I use the hollow white plastic pushing tube from on of them to hold my measuring spoons in a deep drawer.
I try to weigh almost everything. My scale has bakers percentage feature. When I bring home a large pkg of ground beef from the "big box" stores I can put it in a previously weighed and tared bowl and then press the percent key and remove 25% at a time and I have four identical portions. It works with anything.
When I make cookies I weigh all my flour, sugar, peanut butter etc. I can put white sugar in a bowl that has been tared and then add brown sugar to the same bowl. It is a game changer.
I make "bread kits." I weigh the dry ingredients (except the yeast) for four loaves of bread. Put in a freezer bag and store in a cupboard. I make ten bags on one day. When I am ready to bake I add the instant yeast, oil and milk in the proper order and in a couple of hours, literally, I have four loaves of gorgeous bread.
