When I was in college, a group of us and my mom went to a mountain cabin at 7000ft. I’d brought an angel food cake mix, but forgot to bring extra flour to add for the altitude. We used Bisquik instead, but of course the “cake” turned out an inch thick. I cut it into bars, split them horizontally, & spread chocolate frosting in the middle to make sandwich “cookies”. The fake/save was good enough that another woman asked for the “recipe”! A bit of creativity can sometimes turn a flop into a win.
