Some 60 years ago my grandmother, distracted by 3 grandchildren age 4 and under, left the flour out of her brownies and baked them. My grandfather immediately declared it hot fudge sauce and went to the local dairy for vanilla ice cream. That's been my standard for rescuing baking errors ever since.
