I recently received a phone call while working on cupcakes for my best friend's 50th birthday party. I neglected to put ANY liquid in the batter whatsoever. I was so confused and couldn't figure out why my batter was so thick. I even burned up my old hand mixer! Ha! It didn't occur to me what I had done until they'd been in the oven for 10 minutes!
