I haven’t tried a cake yet in my countertop oven style air fryer, but I have had excellent results with cupcakes! The traditional cupcake pan is too big of course, but the two layer tinfoil&paper cups are able to be filled sans pan. I ran out of those cupcake liner duos, improvised by turning my cupcake pan upside down, forming 5” square pieces of tin foil over the exterior of the pan cups, then placing a paper liner inside. It’s sturdy enough to hold up filled with batter and cooks quickly and evenly. I can make 8 cupcakes at a time in my air fryer this way.
