Bless you for posting this. I've had Stuff all my life, and God only knows what some of it is. Good to know that I'm not the only one who finds that their Stuff follows them to the oven.
When I have to put a certain number of cups of a powdery or liquid substance into a mixing container, I tend to get lost, and because I cannot *ever* judge the volume of something on sight, I used to just sigh and start over. But now I grab a handful of teaspoons (or butter knives or whatever is clean) before I start cooking. I put a number of spoons equal to the number of cups next to the mixing container, then set up a rhythm: Measure, pour, one spoon into the drawer. Measure, pour, one spoon into the drawer. No worry about losing count because I'm not keeping count.
