We're sorry to hear that sharing Camilla's and other stories were viewed as a call to pity. Our goal in sharing these stories is to build support, safe spaces, and community for those folks who are still struggling to find acceptance in the world. Pride in being your authentic self is difficult for almost anyone, and extremely difficult for marginalized groups such as LBTQA+. Just as wearing the ol' red, white and blue shows love of your country, celebrating PRIDE with rainbows just says "I love you, I see you, I accept you" to a fellow human being.
