I really appreciate seeing this kind of representation in baking, especially as a queer person myself. Seeing all these negative responses really just hammers it home for me how important it is to feel welcome in a community like this. So often when involved in groups like it it'll either be harshly male dominated or has a very traditional lean, which can be quite alienating sometimes.

Thank you for writing this, it makes my partner and I feel seen in a different way than we're used to. Don't take any of these negative comments to heart, you're doing the lord's work in discussing these topics even to the minutia of baking and cooking.
