Thanks for sharing your perspective, Phyllis! As a founding B corp, we believe in caring for not only our success as a business but also the success of our planet and all of its inhabitants. Currently and for a long time now, people in our communities and country continue to be unjustly burdened and discriminated against because of qualities like their race, color, gender, and sexual orientation. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to the joy of baking and intend to highlight that particularly during this year's pride month. Recognizing that requires that we don’t avoid highlighting bakers of all different backgrounds for the sake of avoiding challenging moments of reflection. Our hope is that everyone comes to recognize that when we collectively tend to our most marginalized communities, we shift toward a future which more richly benefits us all.
