Cross breeding is not genetic modification, it is simply crossing different strains of wheat and selecting for desired traits. The same concept as evolution and natural selection, except forced along by humans. This has been the primary way for humans to domesticate crops for hundreds of years. Genetic modification is splicing open the genetic code and inserting dna from wherever the heck they got it- a very different practice!
