Hey Debbie--hoping you see this. I'm also a home baker and a combo of a couple things helped me: one is I put a baking stone on the rack under the dutch oven, and two is I remove the bread from the Dutch oven entirely (lift it out with a parchment sling) and bake it on the rack instead of just taking the lid off halfway through. I also found that putting a little layer of cornmeal under the parchment helped too, but I don't need to do that if I take it out of the pot and it's a bit messy. Best of luck!
