Hi Lesley! If you don't want to use bee's wax wrap and are set on plastic wrap, try sticking your wrapped aged cake in the freezer for 20-30 minutes to make the plastic wrap much less sticky. If you find that it is still sticking, chill it down a little farther. You don't have to freeze the cake but plastic wrap becomes much more easily managed at this temperature. Happy baking!
