I enjoy any kind of aged cake that involves spirits. Brushing on spirits every other day over a 1-2 week period results in a dense, flavorful cake. The texture becomes more like fudge as the moisture reaches the center, and any fruit included becomes glacee'd like a stained glass window, slicing perfectly and never crumbling. All hail the aged cake!
