Hi JustMe, you can use the buttermilk in your baking, but PJ cautions: Note that the resulting buttermilk is fresh, not cultured (fermented) like store-bought buttermilk — so don’t substitute it for buttermilk in your baking, but instead use it as you would skim milk.
