As someone from The Finger Lakes who grew up attending the Buckwheat Festival in Penn Yan every year and eating buckwheat pancakes and playing in buckwheat hull filled “sandboxes,” I cannot wait to try this cookie recipe. My house is never without some buckwheat flour or an herb-scented buckwheat pillow. Cardamom happens to be my favorite spice as well.
