I leave them on the counter for a day. Then I cut the ones I'm not going to eat tomorrow, put them in a bread bag and freeze them. It's much easier to re-heat a bagel that's already been cut. I stick them in the toaster oven on bake for about 5 minutes, then switch to toast to make the PERFECT fresh bagel any morning.
