I don't know about that but I don't see the need to open the door to "let the heat out" because the heat from the oven will still warm up the kitchen even with the door closed. It just takes longer to cool the oven down that is all. I would suggest that if you have a gas oven and are using an extractor fan then do turn it off once the oven is off so that the heat is not pulled out of the room.
