I have multiple cake stands acquired in antique shops or as gifts, I use them all the time to store biscotti, cookies, muffins, or bread. They look elegant in the kitchen and the dome covers keep baked items fresh. One came without a dome, I bought a clear salad bowl to use with it. The dome or bowl also works well with bread on a wood cutting bowl.
