Excellent article. Been getting rid of plastic containers for a long time, replacing with glass jars (from pickles, mayonnaise, jams, etc.). Been using shower caps to cover most items that go into bowls in the fridge--bought good quality ones that will last a long time. Often reuse takeout containers for my own leftovers. Have now moved away from single-use plastic laundry detergent jugs, too--using waterless laundry sheets instead. Glass bakeware that come with covers helps minimize/eliminate use of single-use plastic containers, too. By the way, I love your posts!
