Thanks for the excellent article about scales, especially about calibration. Mine couldn't detect just one dollar, but at least two dollar bills weighed 2 grams! And I appreciated the comment regarding keeping extra batteries on hand. Fortunately, mine just calls for AAA batteries, which I have plenty of! Having it fail would be almost as bad as my instant thermometer failing in the midst of making caramels!
