My husband's favorite cake since he was a little boy is coconut cake--his mother always made it for his birthday and I've made it for him for about 20 years using a basic recipe for a vanilla cake and I had always made 7-minute icing. This year, I decided to try this cake instead and ----wow----it is amazing! Amazing. Such a great cake. Thank you for this recipe!
