Feedback from our vegan son:
Great article. This is the Oat milk we are drinking and using these days. Photo to follow. It is made in Canada with Canadian oats so has a minimal carbon footprint.

Almond milk, while I love it, is a rare treat for me now. The environmental impact is something I can’t ignore anymore.

Coconut milk - well, in theory you should never buy coconut milk from Thailand (whether cooking or drinking milk). And that I find hard to do. We try and buy Vietnamese coconut milk but sometimes we have to buy Thai. Honestly, in Thailand they have monkeys captive and chained that run up the trees to pick the coconuts. I could not believe it when I first heard this but apparently it is true.

Soy milk - we consume so much soy in other things we stopped buying soy milk years ago.

Oat is the only not-milk Jane will put in her tea, for what it’s worth.
