I keep two pairs of pliers in my kitchen. Many resealable packaging tears so close to the closure my old crippled fingers can’t get a grip on the openings to tear it apart. I use the pliers to grip the two edges so I can reopen the package. Saves a lot of frustration for me and easily reopens the package. Not exactly a baking tip, just a way to manage a difficult job in the kitchen.
