Hi Ken, yes, our Classic Fresh Starter is basically wild yeast (and lactic acid bacteria) in package form. This starter requires regular feedings with water and flour and can be perpetuated and used for years to come. We also sell something called French Sourdough Starter that comes in a little packet and is a limited use starter. Here's more information about that product.
